9 Days Morocco imperial cities north and desert tour from Casablanca 

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca airport and transfer to Rabat

Arrival at the airport and transfer to the city to visit the Hassan II Mosque. We then proceed to Rabat, the administrative and political capital of the country. If you arrive in the morning we will start the city tour of Rabat including, visit to the Royal Palace (Mechouar), the Kasbah Ouadaya and its gardens, the Mausoleum of Moha-med V, the tower of Hassan II. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Rabat – Assilah – Chefchaouen blue city

After breakfast, you can visit the Hassan Tower in Rabat, then we will head towards Chefchaouen via the town of Assilah, another portuguese twon founded in the 15th century and has a great incluance of the portuguese fortress and civiliwation. After the visit of Assilah, we will continue twoards Tangier another beautiful city in the north of Morocco impact by the wind of Europe, there we will visit the heracles caves and the Cap Spartel, then, continue to Chefchaouen through the Rif Mountains, crossing Wazzan and other villages of the Rif. Dinner and overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Meknes – Roman ruins – Fes

After a breakfast, you will depart to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you will explore the 2,000-year-old ruins. After lunch in Moulay Idriss, one of the most sacred villages in Morocco, our PROfessional driver will take you on a sightseeing tour to discover the wonders of the city of Meknes, famous for its 16-mile protective wall, Moulay Ismail Mosque and the former royal stables and barns. Dinner and overnight in Riad.

Day 4: Full day Guided city tour of Fes

After breakfast we will spend the whole day visiting Fes, the oldest of the imperial cities founded in 790 by Moulay Idriss II. Fes immediately became the main religious center of Morocco. Visit the medieval Medina, the Mederse Bounanaia and Attarine) ancient Islamic religious universities), the Karaouine Mosque from the outside, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the famous fountain of Neijarine. The visit of the souks, one of the most beautiful and lively markets in Morocco, continues. Lunch in a traditional restaurant located in the heart of the medina. In the afternoon visit of the souk and dele quartier Fes Jdid. In the evening, dinner in a traditional restaurant and overnight stay in a riad.

Day 5: Fes – Middle atlas Mountains – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga desert and camel ride

Wake up and breakfast and then departure for Midelt through the Middle Atlas. Stop in the city for lunch. Then continue to Erfoud along the Ziz Valley, where fortified villages are found whose architecture heralds pre-Saharan oases. Arrival in the late afternoon in Merzouga where you can admire the majestic dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner and overnight in hotel / riad.

Day 6: Merzouga Wonders and visit to nomads of the desert

After breakfast the grand tour begins through the dunes, through many peoples of the Sahara, Khamlia, where we like Gnawa music, then visit the desert nomads in their tents, discover a new sense of life …. in the afternoon there it will be walking with the camels to arrive in the desert and spend the night in the middle of the dunes in a nomadic tent. Day 7: Merzouga –  Todra Gorges – Dades gorges or Ouarzazate

Wake up early to see the most beautiful and splendid sunrise at the top of the dunes, then mounted on camels to the breakfast hostel where you must and continue to Ouarzazate through Rissani where we stop a little to visit their traditional Souk which is considered the most large throughout the South of Morocco, continue to the Todra gorge, valley of the dades and the gorges of Dades where we will spend the night, Arrival in Gorges and accommodation in Riad or Kasbah.

Day 8: Dades valley – Rose valley – Ouarzazate – Kasbah ait ben haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will drive towards the road of 1000 kasbahs to reach Kelaa M’Gouna, city where every year in the month the roses festival takes place, which are cultivated copiously in this valley and offer a splendid show during the flowering season. Continue then to reach Ouarzazate and the kasbah Ait ben haddou , where we will stop to visit this amazing fortified palace in the village, the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou where they filmed many films such as “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Babel” and “The Gladiator”, and then continue through Marrakech in the High Atlas mountains through the Tizi N’Tichka pass. On the side of the mountains you will see Berber villages and farms. At the end of the day Marrakech arrival Dinner and Breakfast in the Riad.

Day 9: Guided visit of the imperial city of Marrakech

In the morning we will do the monumental city tour of Marrakech: Starting from The minaret of the Koutoubia, (S: XIII) sister of the Giralda of Seville, in splendid harmony is now the lighthouse and spiritual center of Marrakech. Continue to Saadian Tombs (S: XVI), which highlights its central marble dome of Carrara.
